How to find and replace

Regular expressions
Turn on Regular expression to match patterns, such as \d+ for any number or ^\s+ for spaces at the start of lines. Use $1, $2 in the replacement to reuse captured groups.
Line breaks and tabs
In regular expression mode, \n matches a line break and \t a tab, in both the search and the replacement, so you can join lines or turn a list into comma-separated values.

Is my text uploaded?
No. The search and replace runs in your browser tab, and nothing is sent to a server.
Can I replace with nothing?
Yes. Leave Replace with empty to delete every match.
Which regular expression syntax is used?
JavaScript's, with Unicode support. It is close to the syntax of most programming languages and editors.
